WICSE - Women Into Computer Science & Engineering

Let’s go to the movies and watch The Twilight Saga: New Moon. WICSE members are going together to watch this movie. We are all meeting outside of the Century Parklane 16 on Wednesday November 25th. If getting a ride is an issue, send us an e-mail to wicseunr@yahoo.com in advance and we’ll give you one.

We are having a regular meeting on Tuesday November 17th from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the ECC. We’ll be discussing the times for some events. We hope you can come. More information about the events will be posted soon.

The following meetings have been cancelled:

Tuesday, November 3 at 7:30pm due to the SWE evening with industry.

Tuesday, November 10 at 7:30pm due to Veteran’s Day on November 11.

WICSE is going out to dinner on Thursday, November 6th at 7:00pm. We’ll meet at the horses statue in the Grand Sierra Resort. If a ride is an issue please call Jamie at (775)224-4184. We’ll be going to the Grand Sierra Resort Buffet which is only $7.77 for locals. This means that anyone who is 21 or older can get a FREE players club card. Then with the card they can get the locals price for themselves and up to 3 others.

WICSE is going to EWI. This event is on Tuesday, November 3rd in the JCSU 4th Floor Ballroom C. Network Cocktail Hour is at 5:30pm and Dinner is at 6:30pm. If you did not get your ticket from us, please still consider about going. The ticket is just $15 and can be purchased in SEM 132. We hope you can attend.

Most of us are going to the next football game this Saturday October 24th at 1:05pm. We are meeting at 12:15 in front of JCSU. Please show up a little bit early so that we can get good seats. It’s going to be fun!

Did you know that registration for spring classes starts on November 9th? It’s time for you to see your advisor. If you are a freshman or sophmore you need to talk to Jennifer O’neil. We are all meeting today from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the ECC. Come and get your homework done tonight!

WICSE members are going to go to the next football game on Saturday, October 24th at 1:05pm (Idaho vs. Reno, NV). Did you know that you can get your tickets for the game for free? Student tickets are available free of charge for UNR students with a valid ID card. Students may pick up tickets during the week prior to the game in the Joe Crowley Student Center. So, on October 19th, don’t forget to get your tickets early in the morning and go to the football game with WICSE! Keep checking the blog for more info.

As you know, midterm exams  are coming, and it is time to study hard! Come and join us to study this coming Tuesday, October 13th from 7:30 to 9:30pm. Some of us will be at the ECC getting prepare for midterm exams and doing homework. We hope to see you there!
